Hands Down Martial Arts is a premier athletic academy with expertise in a variety of martial art sporting disciplines. We are committed to the development of the mind and body through technical proficiency, health awareness, and fitness training for all of our students and instructors.
Our classes carry with them, a professional reputation for excellent service in martial arts athletics. We cater to the unique needs of our members through age-specific classes private sessions, training camps, and a flexible curriculum that is tailored to the individual experience levels of our members; while challenging them to grow in skill and discipline.
As the founder of Hands Down Athletics and a lifetime martial artist, Curtis spearheads the academies in the capacity of business development, management, kickboxing instructing, and coaching.
From administration, coordinating events, managing students, and scheduling classes; Natalie handles the business management operations that ensure exceptional service quality from our academy.

Little Dragon classes consist of a mix of martial arts training disciplines that are modified to meet the mental and physical needs of children ages 4-6 years old. As an introduction to martial arts, these classes focus on developing motor skills, balance, strength, and overall fitness; while building concentration, discipline, and respect in a fun and engaging way. Students learn a new life or safety skill each week as they advance through the course.
The Technical Fitness classes include workout drills that incorporate a variety of basic martial arts, fitness, and movement training techniques. We take the cardio benefits of kickboxing, the core-strength development of kung-fu and tai-chi, the flexibility advantages of yoga, and the diversity of strength conditioning in our equipment based circuit training; and put them together in sessions that are sure to give you a full body workout.
Our Freestyle Kickboxing discipline encompasses a “stand-up” exchange of self-defense techniques that have its roots in Kung-Fu, Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, and Muay Thai.
Our curriculum is designed to bring the best of each fighting style together with a significant emphasis on, guard shifting, movement, accuracy, timing, and distance manipulation in accordance with the technical proficiency required to master this art.

Ages 4-6 Years Old
These classes include a variety of elementary martial arts concepts to develop coordination and motor skill, as well as a combination of life and safety skills for 4-6 year-olds.
Ages 7-9 Years Old
Students will have skill development exercises alongside their martial arts training, that highlight such things as concentration, determination, and technique.
Ages 10-13 Years Old
For these students, we emphasize understanding conflict resolution, reciprocating respect, and leadership skills to resist peer pressure as they progress through the core curriculum.
Ages 14+ Years Old
Whether looking to lose weight, build confidence, reduce stress, or compete, for our adults, we offer what you need to accomplish fitness goals and excel in your preferred martial arts discipline.
Consistent session times to get all the practice you need to meet your
fitness goals and become a competent martial artist.
We understand that starting something new can often be a little intimidating. This is why we offer a free trial class for everyone to experience a session before joining. We also have single session drop-in fees for those who need a little more time to experiment.
All of our classes require being in full Hands Down Martial Arts uniform attire. This tradition cultivates an environment where everyone, including instructors, is viewed as equals and encourages an impartial team centered mindset, free from judgment.
We enjoy working with families and seeing them train with one another. Having an activity to do together, especially a sport, can boost morale and build respect in the home. As an incentive, our academy offers a $5 training plan discount on each family member after the first.

We have a one-time registration fee of $100 for all youth and adults (7+ years) and $75 for Little Dragons (4 – 6 Years) to cover your uniform, belt, and license book when you sign up. You’ll then choose the training plan that works best for you and you’re ready to get started.
We require a three (3) month minimum commitment upon joining, so you have ample time to see the benefits of training with us consistently. After this term, we require only one month notice in writing for cancelation.
All individuals participating in our classes must sign a liability release waiver (NO EXCEPTIONS). It covers injury liability, photo and video release, and other important entitlements.

Offering a unique curriculum developed for students ages 4-6 years old; this plan grants access to classes that include a variety of fitness and martial arts technical exercises. This helps refine coordination, focus, and motor skills; as well as providing a host of life and safety skills.

Using a variety of exercise routines, fitness equipment, and basic martial arts technical drills; this training plan is tailored toward classes that focus on enhancing one’s fitness, flexibility, stamina, core strength, and full-body conditioning with self-defense elements.

In addition to having access to all of the technical fitness classes, members on this plan can participate in the intermediate to advanced martial arts training and self-defense. Students are able to progress through the grading curriculum and participate in sparring sessions.

Hands Down Elite training plan is a high-intensity advanced skill development training course. Elite students receive exclusive advanced level martial arts training, mentorship, coaching, competition involvement, and certifications that grant eligibility for careers as instructors, referees, professional athletes, and entertainment performers.
